My 97 ram 4x4 Build in the past (heavy pictures)
Thought I would share some pictures of my 97 Ram 4x4 show truck,, My buddy Paul was a Body/Painter guy at a shop. I got my supplies through him and his boss was nice enough to let us use the paint booth afterhours for the final painting of a custom Metallic Cobalt/Electric Blue base/clear. We did all the body work, epoxy/primer in my garage at home. a couple coats base and several coats of clear all done at the shop after washing, cleaning, masking, wiping down and tack cloths.... a few hours later we unwrapped it and took it back to my garage where I put all the trim, seals and other stuff back on. He laid the paint so well and the bodywork we did ( wet sanding and all) was so perfect, no runs and turned out like glass, we didn't need to buff or anything after it was done. Paint looked deep and mirrored images.
My current beast 1999 Ram 4x4 Sport I am debating repainting it Camo or Matte Black?
Don't know if I want to do a full camo ( mossy oak or realtree ) or do a matte black with gloss black decals or possibly a matte black/glossy black camo design? Going for something unusual or possibly something extremely bold ( fluorescent yellow/green ) kinda bold look. Want it to be unique/different than whats out there every day. Ideas welcomed.

I chose the color so it was different than anything on the street and at the shows. It was a debate between the blue and a lime green color, blue won.
I miss that truck, kid who bought it from me called about 2 years later and asked if I wanted to buy it back ( he wanted $4000 more ) I was like WTF? Said he put new headlights on it and did some other small stuff, but I couldn't justify the costs and passed. Found it on craigslist a few months later for $2000 cash, called and it was some kid, he sent me pictures said the motor and trans was blown and I seen it was stripped ( some crappy junkyard lens, the steps were gone, the compressor and air horn system was gone, crappy mis matched tires and wheels ) the list went on. The body and paint was still in excellent shape besides that... just a shame it got tore up like that.
Anyways, got my new one ( to me anyways) to play with now. I love these Rams.
