Default 98 5.9L engine valve cover post hole question

Hi! I hate to waste a thread on this one but here goes-
Anybody know what that port is for on the valve cover that is NOT the one with the pcv valve? The other valve cover, on the right side when looking at engine from the front, has a port with a hose about a foot long.

Whatever it is that goes into that hole on top of the valve cover is broken! Can you buy another one from parts stores? Or is it a junkyard deal maybe?

Thanks!

It's just a breather. You can find it at any auto parts store.
Here is the Napa page for them. It will also give you a part number to cross reference.

Everyone has those days. The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Ahh. Gotcha frankie b jr. Thanks man. You came through right before I criticized myself for everything I was worth for asking and could cancel my question! Thx though, now I know exactly what it is, and where to get it. We got a Napa not to far at all from here!
