I am looking to get a shift kit for my 2001 ram 1500. I have heard alot of good things about trans go kits. Does anyone know where I can find one of these kits online? I tried Summit but they don't have one listed for the 2001 with the 46RE transmission. Any idea where I can pick one up?

i have one sitting right here in my bedroom. I just got it today in the mail and plan on getting it installed within a week so i will give you an update on it.

 

I have the transgo shift kit in my truck and I love it to death!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent shifts and no overlap(slipping between shifts). The nice part of the transgo kit is the increase in pressures you get. This stops the slipping and lube shortages common to the 46re. I got mine out of my local carquest store that I happen to work at. Make special order parts easy to get

 

I understand the trans-go shift kits come in 3 stages, the first being for easy shifting, 2nd for moderate use & the 3rd for jheavy use or racing. Which do you have? thanks, don

I have the medium kit in my '98, and love it too. Nice quick shifts and it should prolong the life. Highly recommended. Just leave out the parts that let it shift into 1st from other gears. Can't see needing that feature on our trucks.

First, I apologize about jacking your thread man! But what products are out there that can make shifting easier on a manual. As I understand it this product is for auto...am I right?
