Did you get a chance to determine which transmission you have in your truck (46re or 46rh)?

I did not. We have been getting dumped on with snow. Just curious why it would make a difference on the tune? He just raised the shift points a little. Which is nice because it holds it in the sweet spot nicely.

I would think that if he could raise the shift points (electronically vs hydraulically) then it's probably a 46re.

Can you not do that to the RH?

I suspect not, since the 46RH transmission is not fully controlled electronically, however, HemiFever could say for sure. This thread explains what is likely going on with the transmission with the recent SCT tune:

anything '96 and up 5.2/5.9 can get the upshifts changed. the downshifts are mechanical. The 4.0 engine vehicles don't have trans control

HemiFever, some very early model year '96 Dodge 5.2/5.9 trucks (like mine) had 46RH transmissions in them, as this was a cutover year for Dodge to the 46RE transmission. I believe the only things controlled electrically on a 46RH is the converter lockup and overdrive. How are upshifts controlled?
