Oh ok. Good to know. This truck is pretty much 100% stock. I'm impressed but I know I need to do a few things to make "it better". I cleaned the air filter and it wasn't too dirty, just thought it was a bit small. Got to looking at the exhaust too and was wondering about that as well.

And FYI, here are before and after pictures of the plastidip I did to the front bumper. Really makes a difference.

How much did you need to plastidip the bumper? Did you just use the rattle cans? If so how many cans?

For those hard plastic parts, I learned a trick from having my jeep. I use Flood (mfg) Penetrol (item name). It's found in the paint department. Wipe it on and you're done. I usually have to re-apply once a year or so, depending upon how often I wash it.

Works on the mirrors too.

i'm blown away by how clean that truck is. she photogenic that's for sure. if only my paint looked like that
i also used plastidip on my front bumper plastics. looks great. much better than the faded crap under it. keep in mind for the guys wanting to do it also, make sure you put it on thick. 5 or 6 coats.

welcome to df buddy.

Christian,

I used about 1.5 cans of flat black Plastidip. Probably did about 4 coats, but I believe I need a couple more. Don't buy them at Autozone or O'Reilly...they are cheaper at Walmart I've learned.

Flood Penetrol you say? I'll look into to that, it's a first for me. I may be able to use it on the plastic strips that are along the side of my truck.

Thanks Brandon! The previous owner had it repainted. I need to really wax it to make sure I stay on top of it...any day now when decides to stop raining!

Appreciate the welcomes too. Forums are some of the absolute best places!

Very nice truck in excellent shape! If you plan on doing the plenum that would be a great time to do your valve cover gaskets, timing cover gasket, timing chain, water pump, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Everything is very accessible while the plenum is off. It's pretty typical that shifting into 4Low is more difficult than 4HI.

Is there a leveling kit in there yet? If not that will probably help with your clearance. If you don't have 2in or so spacers in there, when you replace the shocks it'd be a good time to install them.
