I hit a puddle 2 weeks ago engine died took an hour then it started this never happened before I went through bigger & deeper puddles. I made it home, now it won't start when its damp out or when it rains, just keeps cranking. If its dry it starts but takes more cranking than before. I bought this truck new have 138,000 miles always maintained it, I use to tap the key it always started right up, now it takes more effort when dry out and wont start when its damp or raining, any claims of fame to this one would be much appreciated.

Does it seem to misfire once its running or is it just the starting issue?
On a dry night (in the dark), try taking a spray bottle set on mist and spray all your wires, coil, around the spark plugs, and distributor cap and see if you see and hear any sparks jumping. Might take your distributor cap off and look for cracks it too.
That's the easiest place to start probably. I always find it easier to take the serpentine belt off when doing it too.
