Default Need Help One Making 2wd

hey guys i tore my front differential out yesderday and i was wanting a 2wd bad anyway so i could lower it bag it etc. how hard would it be to convert it and what would i have to do, and what would i have to buy to pull it off.

you shoulda GOTTEN a 2WD. Why would you chop up a 4WD? 2WD are cheaper to begin with?

Unless you are Really good at fabrication and welding (or have plenty of money to burn), you'd be better off trading it for a 2WD. It's just that simple.

I have never heard of anybody wanting to make a 4wd a 2wd. I wouldnt even consider it. Why dont you trade it for a car? They are a lot lower.

**** man, take out ur driveshaft and its a 2wd lol even tho u still have the locking hubs but who gives a **** take out ur 4x4 shifter if u have one and patch up the hole if u ever change ur mind in the 4x4 its still there to put back in, who cares if u have a 4x4 diff pfft :P

What kind of truck? Best option is to drop in a Chevy frontend usually. If you are going to really slam it then money shouldn't be that important. To really slam a Dodge 1500 costs a lot of cake. About twice what it costs to slam a Chevy fwiw.

woh woh woh... i dont think that sounds right... puting chevy parts on a ram? the thought... starting to get sick to my stomach.. not only are you gonna have to rebuild the tranny (cuase its a dodge) your gonna have to buy a new truck every year b/c you put chevy parts on it.... trade it in for gods sakes!!!!!!!!

Not to mention the fact that a chevy front end is a lot different than the setup Dodge uses...even for the 2wds.
