Ok..options?

RE: Ok..options?
My 95 model was like that. I finally rebuilt the engine at 192,000 miles because the rings wore out. I pulled and rebuilt the motor myself. My uncle did the machining........except not much had to be done. He was impressed at how little it was worn. After 200,000 miles all it needed was the cylinders honed. Crank was fine, cam was fine. The main bearings had a little wear. Now if dodge could get its AOD transmissons to follow along...........

I hear yah on the transmissions[:@]...I had mine rebuilt at 70k by the dealership. Costed around 1700 dollars, but it came with a warrenty. All that was wrong was that the reverse was slipping a little, and we decided to go ahead and rebuild the whole thing. When they tore into the tranny they told me that all of the forward gears were in perfect shape and that they don't see that very often, but they went ahead and rebuilt it anyway.[:@] Anyways that's one reason to keep ol'blackie cause she's only got 25K on the tranny.

Um so you want better better performance, but don't like the gas milage? 4.10 gears and a locker will make the gas bill hurt much more. Narrow down what you really want first; more HP, more Torque, a bettter quarter mile time, or a smoother ride? That kind of thinking will lead you in the right upgrade direction.

I want the fastman. I just installed a K&N cai and I just had a tuneup about 5k ago. Bed cover...[:'(]Don't like'em. Rancho shocks? Are those good? Will they improve the ride a lot? -Tyler

Fastman--New Air filter--Exhaust, tune it up, good Dist cap rotor, 40,000 volt coil, 180* thermostat, cover for the bed, that will burn up a good piece, then do the Rancho shocks.

Im hearing just from here that they are about one of the best, there are some post scattered around talking about them, I believe the RS5000 but let one of the shock pro's tel ya. As for cover, does reduce drag, and makes the ruck look sleek, dont like soft tonneau go with a hardcover painted to match
