I thought I had seen a post answering this but can't seem to find it now, I recently purchased a set of h i d halo lights.The rings and light bar I hooked to parking lights and they are fine,The 2 headlights came hooked to dodge headlight connector [I bought these used off craigslist] but when hooked up and turned on at first seem ok other then the one non hid headlight is really yellow compared to the h i d,when turning on brights they both go out and won't turn on until turn headlight off.

 

It's certainly not certain, but it's probable that the lamp side of the connector is wired for 9007's -- the truck's wired for 9004's. The fix is to roll the wires on the side you're willing to change to match the side you're not willing to change. Were it mine, I'd leave the factory harness intact.
