Default No running lights

So i have posted on here before asking this same question. I have no running lights on my 97 1500. I have brake lights, my headlights work fine i am going to buy a new switch because the dimmer is trashed in my current switch, meaning no cluster lights. Any other suggestionson how to fix my running lights would be great. Thanks

Dash lights are tied to the running lights. Usually if the running lights go out, so do the dash lights.

Have you looked at/tested fuses? If you find a blown fuse and have the tow package, look under the rear of the truck where the trailer plug splices into the main harness. They like to short out in this area.

If those are good, then look at the headlight switch. Do you see any melted plastic (switch and connector)? Any of the prongs on the switch discolored (they should be copper colored or silver depending on the switch. Blue-ish would be burnt)? If any of these show symptoms, change the switch.

Hopefully people smarter than me will show up with other, more detailed, advice.
