Call me an old fuddy duddy, but... 96 Ram 1500, 360, auto. Main brake line to rear blew a hole, rusty, was behind driver side front inner fender well on the outside of the frame (Pic #1). Replaced a section of the line, bled, etc. Put wheel back on for a test drive. I could not shift into 1st, 2nd, 3rd, felt like it was stuck/binding, P-R-N-D was ok. Got my wife in the truck, turned on key, had her run thru the gears. Turns out the shift linkage (to the right of the new brake line, Pics 1 &2) bumped into the new brake line (pic #2), so I had to bump the line with a rubber mallet so it was up against the frame, linkage was clear then, problem solved. One of those funky things you never think of, why did they put the line/junction block there?
