The SS/T's and Indy rams had the same one as every other ram(excluding HD, V10/diesel). Never heard other wise and why would the factory put on aftermarket mufflers?

For a stock style single exhaust system and a high flow cat, I went with a 3" single system from the cat back through the tailpipe. I picked up the following parts and took them to a local muffler shop for installation:

Dynomax UltraFlo Welded Muffler - 17233

Magnaflow Converter - 99047HM (dual 2" inlets, 3" outlet, front O2 sensor port)

3 - 3" band clamps (back of cat, front + rear of muffler)

1 - bung for rear O2 sensor

The muffler shop cut out the old cat and installed the new one and supplied the 3" pipe needed to complete the system and fabricate a tail pipe. I also supplied 2 new O2 sensors for the system. System works and sounds great.

NEAP option on the build sheet is " sport tuned exhaust " that leads me to believe something other than a standard muffler used across the line was used on the indy's and ram SS/Ts..

I remember when they came out and they definitely had a throatier exhaust note to them over a stock ram 1500..

The 98 parts catalog shows they used Dynomax mufflers, part #52103146 for the SS/T.
