The body on my 99 is in very good shape for being an 18 year old Wisconsin truck. It has a small amount of rust starting that will be taken care of soon. Right now it's got the 5.9 gas engine in it and I'm looking to swap onto a 2500 frame and suspension with the cummins in it. I'm aware I'll have quite a bit of wiring but I can take care of that. My question is: has anybody successfully swapped their 2nd gen body onto a 3rd gen frame? I'd preferably like an early 2007 so I could use an efi live tuner but I know the 3rd gen cummins is much better than the late 2nd gen. I don't really care if body mounts don't line up perfect; I can fabricate those but what about frame width and length?
