Default 4x4 CAD Question

1996 Ram 1500 4x4

So right now it is stuck in 4WH. With the engine running, I get suction at the diff from one line. If I put it into 2WH, I get no suction at all from either lines. So I understand why it is stuck.

I traced the lines and found no noticeable damage to the lines. Would this indicate a bad switch at the transfer guys?

thanks guys!

Check the metal lines that run along the frame, They rust up inside(at least mine did) and blocked the vac.

If you have the cash replace the stock junk with a POSi-loc.
If not, then try running a length of hose from the tcase to the CAD unit as a test to rule out the metal and plastic lines as the cause. You dont have to spend time routing it as it is for testing only.

It's more than likely the switch. Mine went bad. The posi-lok is ok but very hard to engage at a standstill and if your truck is on a bind. That's what a member posted here before.

How would I check them? They appear to be okay from the outside

Swap the vac lines going into them or blow compressed air threw them. Check if you have vac going into both of them. If not it may be the switch.
