Default Radio suggestions

I have a 97 Laramie which the cd plays for a while then stops. I thought about a junkyard placement. What are your ideas CHEAP is best, I saw someting online an aftermarket but no description?. I WANT to be able to plug it in mtself with my limited skills. A cd that plays mp3 discs would be a great consideration. Could it be put in a HEMI Dodge when the time comes to replace the 87 down the line?? THank you
