OK see if yall have had this issue Im new to dodges I'm a chevy guy at heart. This Vacuum lock is Crazy. I put in a Cable Lock and it will go into 4wd no problem but the on force it will Pop the Collar off the Inner shaft with a big bang and i look down at the Cable lock and it push the Fork lever back over into 2wd. I took the shift fork off the axle and inspected inside. I found the Inner shaft moves into the Carrier as the fork tries to slide over it and it barley catches splines then pops off. i do have a Detroit Tru trac carrier installed up front.

I guess my question is what holds that inner shaft from moving inward away from the outer shaft and collar?
