I have a problem with my 99 ram 1500 with the 318
I cant get it to shift into 4-high. It used to work nicely, then one day nothing. I left it shifted into 4hi and after 15 miles or so it engaged. WHAT the hell?????? Please help

 

check your linkage for proper adjustment...

does it go into 4 lo?

 

Were you driving on pavement for those 15 miles?

Your linkage could be lose. You could also check the vacuum lines running from the transfer case to the front axle.
