Default Axle Nut Size and Torq Spec.

2001 Ram 3500 4x4 Quad C, Diesel Dually. Does anyone know the size of the Axel Nut on the front and torque spec's on it (e.g. 1 1/16"). Thank you.

Default RE: Axle Nut Size and Torq Spec.

The Axle Nut Size is 1 11/16"

The torque spec on it is 175 ft. lbs. I didn't have a torque wrench that went that high when I changed mine (I do now though), so I just ran it on with an impact and used a breaker bar with a piece of pipe on it to tighten it down. I probably over torqued it, but it hasn't seemed to hurt anything yet. That was 8,000 or so miles ago.
