Default Front end suspension

Would u be able to change out the control arms with the truck on the ground or would it be easier to do the job with the truck on a lift

The job would be easiest when done on a lift. You will not be able to do the job without at least jacking up each side to relieve pressure/weight off the control arm to remove it.

if its control arms from an independent front suspension...up in the air

if its trailing arms from a coil and link suspension...probably on the ground. have not had to do one though.

Any job is best on a lift if you have one.

When I did my CAs, I jacked up the frame behind the mounts and let the axle sag. I also did lift coils.
