coil spring installed height
does anyone have the d30 or d50 skyjacker coils? i need to know the installed height. i measured my stock '97 parts rig and i got about 12" installed height for the stock coils. i measured my '99 with 6" spacer and got about 16" [i'm assuming the coils are shot]. both skyjacker sets are about $200, but i want to keep the 16" height [between the buckets] the '99 has right now. i could go an inch either way and be ok, but searching the interwebs hasn't been very helpful. no one posts installed bucket height which is far more accurate than +x lift. i'm also not stuck on buying skyjacker if you have a different brand that will get me to 16" under $500.
You probably won't see any gain above what you already have with the spacers. As I recall D30 is the 3' lift and D50 is the 5" correct? This would have been 3" above the factory original. When I swapped coils on my '97 I gained closer to 4 inches, rather than the 2" I was expecting.
If all else fails' drain the air from your tires.

the quality control must suck on those springs. seems like everyone gets a different height installing them. you got 4" out of the d30's where many reviews said they got less. maybe i'll get the 3" and add a spacer if it's too low.
airing down the tires is my ace in the hole if i screw up lol. i just don't want to rely on it cause my dumbass would forget and try to just drive right in one day down the road.
