I need to replace my headlights..but the problem is that on amazon it tells me it fits my 1500 ram but the note says the headlights do not fit sport models.....if the only difference between sport and non sport is the color of the grill and some stickers then why cant i use the headlights? btw its a 1997 Dodge ram 1500 sport V8 5.2 ..im frustrated because im on a budget and found some lights i like on amazon but i dont wan to buy them and find out they dont work.... =( please help

 

Sport model included: different grill, different bumper and was color matched, and 4 headlight bulbs (2 per headlight) unlike the not sports which had 2 headlight bulbs (1 per headlight)

 

In 1999 the Sport received a more drastic package which added the 4 bulb lights and different size grille, bumper, and facia. This is the "Sport" model stores refer to, not the earlier Sports that only had color matched bumpers and grille.

You'll have to order the standard light assemblies unless you convert it to the 4 bulb assy with the relay harness available at LMC.
