Cummins into a 1500???

Default Cummins into a 1500???

Anyone know if you can fit a diesel into the 1500??? More precisely a 2000 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 [sm=smiley4.gif]

Yeah, it has been done, BUT it would be pretty useless in my opinion. The CTD is made for towing/hauling. The 1/2 tons can't handle what the HD trucks can. The 1500 would barely be able to handle the weight of the motor up front. If your goal is speed/power, you'd be better off with a V10 swap. If you are really set on a CTD, you'd be better off trading up to a HD truck that already has one in it. For the time and money (not to mention headaches) it would cost you for the swap, buying a truck with one in it would probably be the cheaper route.
