I think the platinum and iridium plugs last longer. To some people that makes them a better plug. I think the copper plugs have less resistance and are easier on the ignition system. I think that makes them a better plug.

I'm guessing your u-joints are dry. Once you're that far into the axle, you may want/ need wheel bearings and ball joints also.

I replaced the distributor cap, rotor, wireset, and cleaned out the throttle body with IAC and TPS.

The vibrations from idle and driving have gone down a lot while acceleration is a lot stronger and smoother. Also, problem #1 is fixed, so thanks for all that.

The issue is that problem 2 may be linked to problem 3 as you said, due to the column bushing. It seems my vehicle has the Death Wobble at 50mph and higher. Therefore,Ill take it easy throughout the month and replace all of the front suspension once I get all the parts. Ill keep you updated!

is your steering wheel loose as well? If so tighten down the steering box some maybe it would help. Getting a mopar brand pcv valve can help in general from everything I've read, mine came in the mail yesterday. I need to clean my throttle body out for good measure but mine doesn't look too bad actually. Cleaning do the job or you actually got new IAC and TPS sensors?

I need to do this too

let me know how it goes, I hope I don't need to do a whole front end rebuild, a previous owner already put new ball joints on my truck so maybe it's just a loose steering box that's my problem along that that column bushing. Good luck

The steering has a lot of play AND is horribly unaligned. Driving straight has the steering wheel at 10/11 o' clock.

I only cleaned everything. The IAC and TPS tests were fine. The throttle body was so black. I also did the intake manifold cleaning process, where you push seafoam thru the vacuums.

how are the tires on the truck? when i first got my truck the wheel was off too i switched tires from front to back an old trick i learned from back when i did wheel alignments and boom straight wheel. glad cleaning up the tb helped it made a huge improvement to my truck the old guy that owned it before me would never have done any of that before i had it. another thing i change that made a big improvement to my truck was the track bar assuming the rest of the front end is ok check it out closely.

Im not keen on telling the life of a tire, and they all came with the truck so I dont know their history. What I can say is that they hold pressure very well, they are all Firestone Destination A/T, and they seem to have great tread. The spaces inbetween have lots of wrinkles and cracks,Ill send pics later explaining that.

I forgot if you said you had already replaced the pcv valve or not, but man....it can help a bit on its own, replaced mine today that was horribly gummed up and who knows how old along with likely being the cheap autozone version, and the truck seemed quicker to accelerate with less throttle and seemed to idle better/smoother. I'll need a new pcv hose though, discovered a crack in mine, my truck now has somewhat of a whistle you can hear when giving it gas, looked around online and people say it's probably the hose.

I ordered it from a good seller on ebay that swore it was oem mopar, can pcv whistle if they're offbrand/bad? I don't think this one is bad, the truck performs better I just don't like the whistle lol. If the old one never made any noise whatsoever even with the bad hose would that mean it was stuck open or closed and could that have been quite a bit of my bad mpg problems?

pics of old pcv/hose...

Tire Kingdom said the tires are 8 years old, have about 75% tread left, but there are so many cracks and peels on all 4 tires. They also told me the inner and outer tie rods need to be replaced asap, and that my wheel bearings/ujoints are fine. They told me to do tie rod ends with alignment first, then tires to see which issue is causing the death wobble.

Any input?

a bad front end can definitely cause the death wobble too. Alot of people replaced ***** joints, etc for it to end up being that column bushing that the "rock solid ram fix" is for though, don't scratch that off yet.

a new hose fixed the pcv whistling issues for me...just down to sensor woes, steering box, and column bushing and hopefully I'm good.

Yeah after so long being out in the sun/environment tires just eventually go bad, the ones on my 01 v6 ram I used to have were getting like that....that poor little 3.9 v6 with a lift and pumped up offroad 17 inch rims/tires still got up and went though and still somehow got better mpg than I'm currently getting, doh. It did in fairness only have ~154k miles versus my current almost 225k miles on my 95 5.2 ram however.

whenever you want to get new tires, these Hankook are well rated, what I plan on going with when funds allow for new tires....boy, truck tires sure are pricey compared to little car's tires lol. The Hankooks were the cheapest well rated tire from a major company I'd trust https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hankook-D...-109T/19226823
