4th gen "hidden" floor storage
I got them when I was in the military it's used in bases. Anyway you have this really odd looking key and that is your key. If someone tried to lock pick the lock or stick a screwdriver in there the door locks well "freeze" and can not be turned with anything except my key.
That's cool except two inches above the lock is about 40 sq ft of glass that shatters easily. But I get it. After my break in I got new lock cylinders but upgraded the handles to billet jobbers for $200. They are at least more secure than plastic :/
I know it sounds stupid but hey I bought it to be a bug out/off road vehicle. Plus the places I drive through are bad. A buddy of mine found a stray bullet in his tailgate. My ultimate goal is get the cab and drivetrain back to stock. Put a 4th gen floor storage and center console in (hence my transfer case thread) and bucket seats rears with custom center console so I can get cupholders back there as I currently have none(figuring out how to mount them without compromising under seat storage). Then eventually taking it to a company that will turn it into a crew cab for me. This truck is my babe and I will not get rid of it. OH! And also fix the rockers (off road to a big chunk out) and my cab mounts then rock sliders with my 16.5 Warn winch. I planned to do write ups but this forum only has a handful of 2nd gen owners that are active.
This is the brand I got but didn't pay that much:
