Default leaf spring and shock question

I have a 1999 2500 extended cab and I have a leaf spring with a broken leaf so I'm looking to replace it before I start pulling my camper around...but I have a couple questions

1. Can you recommend a company that is decent and not super expensive?
2. would you buy used
3. should I upgrade to 1 ton springs or is the alot of mods to do?
4. While I'm working on it I'll do the shocks too...any recomendations?

Thanks for youe help

1. Rock auto
2. Depends on the cost difference and how much you will be towing
3. Depends on what you are towing.
4. Monroe is a good brand. Along with Bilstein and Rancho.

1. Atlas Spring
2. Depends on cost and where you live (rust)
3. Atlas can guide you on that. They even make custom springs.
4. KYB gas-a-just or monomax, Bilstein, Skyjacker
