Default Charcoal Canister Bracket

Hey Guys,

I have been searching all over and I can't seem to find a place to buy a new charcoal canister bracket. I broke a bunch of parts while off roading a while back, and I busted open the bottom of the charcoal canister. I have a new canister, but the bracket is rusted, bent and smashed to hell because of the rock I got stuck on.

Does anyone know where to buy a new bracket? I may end up cob jobing it with some zip ties and other things haha

Thanks,

Find the part number(s) in the 2001 Dodge Ram parts manual and do some Google searching - you might get lucky.

there are LOTS of them at the junk yards here in AZ. Since they are pretty light weight, maybe call one of them and see if they will mail it to you. I had a vacuum leak from mine (canister) a while back and was able to find one easily (which is how i know they are plenty full here). If you want to try this i recommend Just Truck and Van.

Just in case anyone else is searching for the bracket, I found it on this site. I'm going to be ordering it, and I will report back if this is the correct one when it arrives and I can fully compare it to the one installed on the truck.

Thanks guys!

Glad you were able to find the new part still available thru Chrysler. Now that these trucks are getting older, some of the parts are getting harder to find new.
