Default Check gauges oil pressure low

Hello. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L
the other day I was driving it (which I don’t drive but on the weekends) and when I almost got to my destination my check gauges light came on. So I did and I had zero oil pressure. Did it again when I was on the boat ramp. Both times when I started moving again the light said would go off and my pressure would jump back up to where it should be. It did it one more time I think on the way home. I checked the level when I got home and the oil level was fine. Just looking for some suggestions or maybe my oil pump is just about done. My truck never acted up or the engine didn’t sound any different when this happens the couple times that it did. Thanks for any ideas.

Bad sender or the oil pump is going bad. Put a mechanical gauge on it to verify.
