Default wheels & tires

It's getting close to time put tires on the old 97(253,000) again used is okay so, I see some already on 17-18'' wheels, will newer Dodge wheels fit on the wreck of the hesperus?? Thanks I just don't want to step up to the plate for new tires

They should, but you will need to test fit them to be sure. Check the overall height and width of the new wheel/tire combo - if they are close to the height/width of your original wheel/tire combo on your truck and the bolt pattern is the same and the backspacing of the wheel doesn't offset too much more to the inside (causing things to rub), you should be OK. Again, test fit things to be sure!
