Does anyone know what the "AB" means after the 360 on the casting marks? It says 360AB. It could be 360A8. The B or 8 looks more like squares.
I want to know if I will be able to drop this in my 2001 ram. Thanks.

 

You can just need to use the intake (center head for the older guys) from the 01 motor

I'd check the oil pan to make sure it will work in the truck chassis (or swap it from the old motor, along with the pickup) and check the motor mounts.

 

The 360 magnum motors ran from 1993–2003 (casting # 53020006) If you don't have that # before the "360" it's an LA motor.

 

Thanks everyone. The exhaust manifold, and air intake got swapped . The oil pan cleared fine. The motor got dropped in last night. and started up. I think we kept the motor mounts from the Van on. They looked stronger, and were 1 solid piece.
