My 98 5.9L 1500 Dodge Ram SS/T just started making a noise on rear underbed when going through bumps. It seems to be coming from the drivers side leaf? Replaced shocks, spare tire is secure, tank is secure, and exhaust is secure...the noise "like something loose" is still present. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes it happens when I turn too. Did you fix it on yours?. From that link that you gave me, it looks to be the problem. So, is that a recall or just the procedures used by dealer to fix it? Do you know how much it will cost to get it fixed. Thanks in advance.

its not a recall... a TSB is a technical srevice buliten.. (sp) what that does is pretty much tells you that there are problems with your truck but the dealer wont fix for free..but can offer you parts to DIY or for them to do it.... i fixed mine but i didnt get new parts... i took off the rear leafs and sanded them down and repainted them and greased the hell out of the rubber pads...helped out a bit but not the noise is coming back and i need to go to the dealer and get the replacement parts for the TSB...its not hard...just time consuming... hope this helps!
