Finally found a site basically describing the reprogramming of the PCM "death flash".
Maybe some one else has seen this before but I hadn't. Thought it was interesting.

NOTE: WHEN PULLING A HEAVY LOAD OR DRIVING A FULLY LOADED VEHICLE USE A PREMIUM UNLEADED FUEL TO HELP MINIMIZE SPARK KNOCK.

This I did not know
