I have a 1996 dodge 1500 and when I start it and its cold its fine good idle and good oil pressure but once it warms up i have idle surge between 1000/1200 to 1500RPMS and if i put it into gear while its warm i loose oil pressure until i put it into park or neutral. I was thinking it was vacuum but i could be wrong so i came here to see what you guys have to say

 

I would suggest verifying the low oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, as the o.p. sending units aren't all that great. As for the idle, the iac might need cleaning or replacement. Checking vacuum should be done on occasion .
