Default 98 and up 2nd gen body style door interchange help needed

New here, first time here posting. Used search function and can’t find what I need. Sorry if this is the wrong area.

Question: I have a 2001 Ram 2500, 4x4, diesel, Laramie SLT. It has the, I think, quad cab? The two short back doors open suicide style. I need a driver side front door and need to know which years and body style is compatible. From what I’ve been told, pre 98.5 doors won’t work and the rear corner of the front door on a three door is rounded instead of squared. So that’s out.

the door I found at a junkyard is off of a 1999 1500 series, but they can’t tell me on the phone exactly what body style it is. What do I need to know in order to make sure that I get the correct driver side front door? What years interchange? Mine is power windows, locks, mirrors (heated). Mirrors are not the extended towing type.

Dodge never made a 3 door cab. They had extended (just like yours but the back didn't have doors) and quad cab (what you have). You need the front door off a quad cab

Thank you. I got lucky and found a perfect door today for $75. It’s silver, but it’s complete with all electricals, glass and panel. Just need to paint it to match. Thanks again.

No problem! That's not a bad deal either.
