Still no spark, any suggestions?

So I posted awhile back about an issue that was somewhat similar which ended up being the PCM. I have a 98 1500. The other day while I was driving the truck it would flutter losing power is the only way I know to explain it. It was lose power and come back almost like a light switch every now and then. Until it just didn’t come back. It lost power and when dead so while still coasting I dropped to neutral and started back up just for it to lose power again and never start back up. It will turn over but not start.

I cannot figure out why I still don’t have spark. After part chasing the problem I don’t know where else to check. I’ve replaced ignition coil, distributor cap, distributor rotor, pickup coil, crankshaft position sensor , and checked fuses and relays. I would be likely to think it was the pcm since this very similar to what I’ve already dealt with but I have another one that I know the truck will start with and swapped it with the same result. Any suggestions?

What brand crank sensor did you install? Is the PCM spitting any codes?

its a BWD sensor. I’ve recently read that I should use a factory sensor as that one in particular is partial to it. I guess that’s a possibility. I’m also starting to lean back to the PCM.

Likely the ignition coil. (which you have also replaced?)

Did you actually confirm the old one was bad? Maybe it could be a problem with one of the wires/plugs not making a connection.
Oh and BWD is.. :icon_poop:

I haven't bought a BWD part that works correctly. They've either been dead on arrival or don't work correctly. Either get a Mopar part or get a Standard Motor Products one from Rock Auto.

Mopar or Delphi would be my choice! Delphi is not "aftermarket" they are one of the manufactures used by the auto makers.
