I bought a "kit" at Walmart. It came with the pads that go under the battery terminals and a spray by NOCO I think and never had anything corrode. I go through terminals like water because I am trying to find the perfect terminal to connect accessory wires to.

we use bus bars

What is that?

Stick a penny on top of the terminal and it won't corrode. Learned it from an old school mechanic years ago.

GM style side terminals just seem to have an clear advantage over top post setups for durability, corrosion avoidance, etc. Cables are available off the shelf, and are economical. They also have a superior mounting setup... but I'll probably have to slice that piece off the bottom side to get it into the mopar tray... anyone do this yet to a 2nd gen?

I had that setup from the factory in my 2001 Mustang Bullitt. I never had any issue with corrosion. I prefer the side mount over the top mount. My 2006 Chrysler 300 is a top mount and always has issues.
