Until this is done you could be chasing a ghost that isn't there. On my Commando back in the 90's I hit a open mine shaft hauling butt across the desert. It bent the front leaf spring into an L shape. The axle was an open knuckle D30 from a 70's CJ. If that didn't bend the spindle I don't know what will. I had the spring re arched at a spring company, put it back on and drove it with no alignment and no problems.
