V10 maunual transmission swap?
I’m looking into swapping the 47re auto to a stick. I know the v10s had the option for the 5 speed, but has anyone tried installing the nv5600 or g56 6 speeds? I can’t find any information as to why dodge didn’t put the 6 speed behind the v10.

Because it didn't need it. The HO Cummins needed a stronger trans and it was introduced in 2000. Although it appeared in 1999 with a different spline count before HOs.
You should be able to fit it. Just know you may have to change driveshafts and output shaft potentially.
And wow, that spelling of "manual" makes my head hurt.

Yea I was typing late last night with a screaming 2 year old in my lap. It made my head hurt too when I saw it lol! Im wanting swap because I want the lower gears for pulling take off. 2.45:1 is way to high for some of the loads I pull expecially on a uphill take off. Once I get going it pulls just fine. I don’t want to change my differential ratios because I like being able to run 80mph with out totally pegging out the rpms. The motor power is there but the transmission is killing it.
Then get the 5spd! The NV4500 is a pulling monster with a super low 5.61:1 granny 1st gear! Completely different than the NV3500 which is 4:1 first gear. All the NV5600 adds is another gear between 2 and 3 on your way to Direct. First in 5600 is 5.63:1 while OD is the same at 0.73:1.
If you can tell the 0.02 difference between the transmissions, then you're not human.
Case should work fine although the splines may have changed sometime during the run from 94-02. The case is what, the NP241D?
