Help! Wierd Noise
Hey! Question, just bought a 1998 with a 5.2l can anyone help me find out why my truck is making a thumping sound? Its like its cammed out, only does it in idle aka when Im at a stop light or park... exhaust is cats on then straight pipe no muffler

Do you have a video of the sound? Idle air control valve going bad and the engine starving for air would be my guess, What is the tachometer reading when you're idling and is it steady or bouncing around?
