Blue Infinity?
Let's go for a hat-trick tonight...
OK, We all know you can get your cluster to glow almost any color now with aftermarket gauges or simple tweaks you can do yourself. Personally, I love the look of the Dakota Digital gauges, and I want to put them in my truck when I restore it... Dakota comes standard in Blue, Green, and Teal, but anycolor can be requested... Blue is awesome... Green is that nasty color the other guy uses... And teal is the color Dodge uses... While I like the look of the teal, I love the blue so much more... And the new color for the truck is a toss up right now between blue and black, so either way, blue intrumentation would be a great choice... I plan on putting all the original gauges back, but with Dakota guages instead of the factory cluster, and then adding a triple guage set up on the A-pillar with boost readings for the twin turbos I will be installing and another one to monitor the tranny temp or something similar... Anyway... By now, half of the cab will be blue.. But what about the center of the console? Like the A/C and heater controlls and the radio? (Don't hate, but I happen to like the factory Infinity head units, and would like to keep them... I think that by tweaking the bulbs and filters, that I can make almost every currently teal light turn blue... My main concern is the display on the radio itself. Is there anyway that those can be changed? I know that some Chrysler products come with orange or red faces, but I have never seen blue? Has anyone else? Do they make such a thing? Can the color be changed? Can a blue filter be placed on top of the display and the voltage be stepped up to make it seem as bright? If nothing else, I could go aftermarket, blue is the thing with aftermarket headunits, but, like I said, I'd like to keep the factory Infinity one... Any sugestions?
