Although pre-1998 are not eligible it still works all the way into the late 80s: https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing

According to the link it is a SS/T. Dash is a bit worse for wear ...

Contact Dodge here and get the complete listing or find a vin decoder that does. IF it is real you will see this: AGL Super Sport Group (SS/T). From the pics someone painted the stripes(can see clear coat fading on hood). Originals came with decals not painted on. " Dodge SS/T" on the tailgate and SS/T on the left stripe on the hood". Repo stripes are available... https://www.graphic-express.com/1997...pes-names.html

The wheels look correct and they are probably the most "exclusive" parts on the whole truck so it probably is a true SS/T. The stripes being redone in paint is no indication either way but they definitely are not factory SS/T stripes. SS/T's should have two paint codes, I don't remember what they are but one will be the body color and the second will be for the stripes. You should be able to take your vin to a dodge dealer and find out for certain. Either way, other than bragging rights, there is not much of a difference between a SS/T and a standard Ram, in value or performance.
