Is the temp gauge in the dash working ? Normal readings ? If so I'd look at the intake air temp sensor as well. Both temp sensors are negative temperature coefficient type and have the same resistance curve. You can compare them with a simple ohmmeter, readings should be in the 100s of kOhms at -40C and around 20kOhms at 10C.

Now I never said replace it I was going to give you some tests to do to see if it was bad.
