I don't know if this has already been posted but i'm having some major problems with my transmission. It broke down on me lastnight and the problem is if i put it in drive it kinda slowly will attempt to move and 2nd gear is the same but i was using 1st gear and it was moving all right but when you put it in 1 st gear you can hear a slow grinding noise then it will go, well it did but not anymore. I have reverse that works ok. I have no idea what the problem could be. Could the tranny be toast? any help would be greatly appreciated!

sounds like a blown planetary....................rebuild and upgrade,upgrade,upgrade

 

Can You Say.....JUNK??? My suggestion would be to find an independent tranny shop with Dodge experience, or get a good reman tranny. ( Look elsewhere on this forum for suggestions.....) Do Not take it to the dealer unless you have warranty left! They have rebuilt mine twice and I'm still not convinced it is right. (2 different dealers also)

Yeah, you are better off buying a new one than having a dealer rebuild it.
