Default 1996 transmission in and out of lock up

Changed fluid and filter all was dirty but ok - nothing in pan. Changed TPS and that made a huge difference. Now only has done very minimal once or twice. Any other ideas ?

it a little not to slip in and out ... any ideas on issue ?
Sounds like the OD unit needs replacing or rebuilt. I think there is something in the transmission that has to do with OD that commonly fails. Irs easy to replace but I can't remember it. Someone will chime in and tell you the part.

1st, adjust your kickdown cable, helped a bit with mine. 2nd, i added lubegard friction modifier and after about 125 miles of city driving trans had firmer shifts and stayed in o overdrive
