Default Issue adding remote start on 01 Sport

I picked up and older remote start unit brand new never used, it’s a BOA 265B. BOA no longer exists and is now owned by Directed and unable to access additional material on their site. I connected everything and have voltage through out. Power door locks appearing to be functioning as they should. Single click locks and unlocks both doors. The issue I’m having is that I can’t program the FOB. When I turn the ignition key to accessory to program the fob my parking lights are not turning on to show its in program mode. I’ve reset the unit countless times and everything is hooked up correctly. I’ve triple and quadruple checked all my connections and voltage. I think (not sure) I might be having an issue with arm/disarm. Unfortunately it being an older unit I can’t access what is required for it. I did find a wiring diagram for the arm/disarm system on Bulldog security website and added an additional 775 relay and 1500 Ohm resistor and also tried wiring it through the relay after that didn’t work and still have no luck with programming the remote start. I know I’m missing something stupid but I just can’t figure it out.

I’ve read on another forum that an additional 644 Ohm resistor is needed but unsure how to wire since there is only 1 arm/disarm wire. What am I missing, anyone have an suggestion?

I’ve also tried wiring the arm/disarm as in the pic above with out the resistor but still no luck.

I found another diagram from an older Avital unit. I don’t know if the factory arm/diagram is a negative plus or positive. According to the diagram above it would be a negative pulse since it showing ground. Not sure that the box with the line through it means and also an explanation of connectors 87, 87A and 30 are connected. 87 and 86 are constant 12v, 30 going to the vehicle arm/disarm, 85 to light green/black and what is 87A?
