Default '98 Ram wiper problems

A couple weeks ago my wipers went to high speed only. Replaced the switch & no change. Got a new wiper motor & when I plug it in absolutely nothing happens. Plug the old motor back in the intermittent & low speed works for a bit then stops. When those speeds do work there is a vibration in the motor but not on high. Thought the new motor was bad so tested it & works fine. Plug it in & nothing. What am I missing?

Ground, possibly. If you have a test light or a voltmeter check between battery negative and the wiper motor connector: Brown/white (pin 4) should have power on low and pulse on interval. Red/yellow (pin 1) should have power on high. Black is ground, should end up front inside left fender.

Checked the wiring & found that after 22 years some of the wires had lost their insulation. Spliced some new wire in & now it works great! Thanks!
