Are you talking about the one from the fuel pump?

I had a similar issue with the short piece nylon fuel line that is on the long steel fuel line that goes from the fuel pump/tank against the frame to the front of the truck. My nylon fuel line kinked when I installed the new steel fuel line on my '96 Ram 2500 4x4 truck. I ended up cutting off the nylon line between the connector at the fuel pump and the steel fuel line and replaced it with some rubber fuel injection hose and fuel injection clamps. I looped the rubber line a bit to give me some slack if I ever needed to drop the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump in the future. So far, no leaks or issues with that repair.

the owner before me changed the fuel pump and must have kinked the line line in two spots, probably causing the pump to quit, but anyway the information i have found says its a 5/16 nylon line and i am thinking of just cutting out the kink and putting a dorman union were the kinks are

I believe I used 5/16" rubber fuel injection hose and clamps when I replaced the nylon line neat the tank. That nylon line kinks real easy in tight areas.

Not only that did you ever try to put on a new one? You are supposed to put the line in hot water to make it flexible before you try to install it. Well i put it in boiling water and still didn't work(kinked). I did the same thing AtomicDog did.

I used a brake line flaring tool and it helped tremendously
