Default Transmission Problems GONE!

I started having some shifting problems from 3rd to 4th gear. I had been told that since I had never serviced the transmission if I were to flush it out change filter, etc... that it would completely mess up on me, so I added some Luca Transmission Fix, worked just as promissed for a few months, then the problem came back, so I tried adding another bottle of Lucas Magical stuff, it worked again for a few months. Just a few days ago the problem came back, worried about this being the final time lucas was gonna work I took a chance and decided to go against everything I was told about a flush, I figured I had a good chance of making it because it wasn't slipping, just having some trouble shifting. So I changed the filter, flushed everything, cleanner and additive, the whole thing. Now it's working like new again. The shifting problem is gone, it shift when it should, responds just like it used to. From now on I will make sure that I service my transmissions, something I wasn't used to doing.

That has been the wives-tale since I was kid, there isnt any proof anywhere of that, you did a good thing changing it out. If anyone has had tranny puke after the filter was changed the tranny was on its way out anyhow. Goodluck

I took it to a transmission shop where they did a machine flush. He told me they were gonna put some cleaner first and run it for a few minutes, then they were gonna plug it to the machine that was gonna clean the hell our of it and change the filter and gasket. all for a $140.98. The dealership wanted to do that for $276.93, dang stealerships...

heard the same story. most of the time you find out after the fluid change and the trans has imploded that it was slipping or have other issures previous to the flush and filter change. good maintance is better than repairs.
