Your comment made me look closer at the wiring diagram. It looks as thougfh the ASD and fuel pump relay coils are in series on my truck. If I interrupt one I would be interrupting both. Maybe that isn't what I? want to do.

Does interrupting the ASD prevent the starter motor from cranking?

I kind of worry that disabling the starter motor may tip off the thief it's a security system but. If it still cranks over and doesn't start the thief may just think its a pos that wont run and move on to another target,

I need to spend more time styding the wiring diagram and those wiring diagrams are a major pain.

Shouldn't disable the starter as it is on its own circuit

This is what they have on the web site, If there is a single hot wire going to the ignition switch you could wire it in there and nothing would work. I wonder how it works as arming/disarming when walking away/near? If it uses the remote as a transmitter what happens when the battery dies? And remote starts have safety features built in. Step on the brake it kills the ignition if the key is not in the ignition. You usually can program them for different run times also. The best part your truck is WARM when you get in at 20* outside.

The website says it uses RFID technology. I'm not sure what flavor they use but there are several types. The most popular and least expensive RFID implementations use passive RFID tags. That is probably what is in that little key FOB ie no batteries required in the FOB.

Passive RFID relies on the low power transceiver signal that cover a small radius around the vehicle. The transceiver would be mounted in the truck. The tag , when it comes within range of the transceiver, reflects properly decoded signal completely passively. In theory only the correct RFID tag will be able to reflect the correctly decoded signal.

However RFID, can be spoofed. It isn't foolproof but is definitely another tool in the toolbox.

Reading their website apparently you can use the remote to turn it off. If that's the case it would still work with a remote start. They also offer push to start which is a cool little thing I would add
