Governor arm adjustment screw
Hello,
I finally got around to adjusting my governor arm for the new fuel plate on my 97 12v and somehow managed to knock off the lock nut and adjustment screw inside the pump (go me). Gonna fish the pieces out of her tomorrow but i was wondering if the pieces are necessary to reinstall. Looking at a cut away pic of the pump it looks like a may be able to get by without them and given that im working kind of blind i would really prefer not to put them back in lol. That said i dont want to break anything over it either so any info is appreciated, thanks!

Suppose ill leave this thread up in case anyone else has a similar issue, turns out i turned the adjustment screw in too far and lost the lock nut and washer. Ended up fishing them out with a $3 pen magnet from an auto store. Just backed the screw out and threw lock nut back on. Bit of a pita but had noticeable difference with the governor arm properly adjusted.
