sorry for being confusing i was trying to describe it in as much detail as possible. Yeah, ive been using 200 Ohm* scale right along, so .3 on the negative, 13 on the positive with all switches off, and all values given are with my negative lead attached directly to battery negative. I made sure to thoughly check the stud and went after it with brass and steel brushes alike to make sure, not a single issue with ground there. So i guess next up ill be try 69's advice and start exploring everything throughout the body. its worth noting the following: previous owner had cut the trailer plug off with wire cutters so i have that relay taken out, it was making my turn signals run more quickly due to the faulty bulb detection circuit i believe.

Ok so I think I "see" what you did. 0.3 ohms from the ground at the light bulb socket to the negative battery terminal is good (for now). 13 ohms sounds about right for a low power light bulb. Now you are probably going to say "but there is no light bulb !" but that's an example of what 69_XS29L described as "Voltage will find it's way home". The ohm meter applies a low voltage across the test leads and measures how much current is flowing, from that it can calculate the resistance. If you measure resistance between say the marker light connection at the socket and the battery negative, the current will find its way through the wiring to the other side marker light bulb and through the filament of the bulb to ground. This is pretty much what happens when there's a bad ground, if the current doesn't have a direct path it will find one through other light bulbs which is the cause of random dim lights.

98 is still all analog lighting, there are no "lamp out" detection circuits and the flasher relay changes speed depending on how many light bulbs are working. The trailer tow relay only switches power to the running/marker lights so it shouldn't affect turn signals but then the wiring might have more issues.

Check the wiring, socket and bulb on the right side as well. Because the marker light and turn signal are in the same bulb a light can sometimes appear to work but it's the wrong filament or both filaments lighting up.
